SICILY. Gela. Circa 420-405 BC. Tetras or Trionkion (Bronze, 18 mm, 4.38 g, 2 h). ΓEΛAΣ Bull walking left; below, three pellets (mark of value). Rev. Horned head of young river god to right. HGC 2, 379. Jenkins, Gela, Group IX, 497. A very attractive piece with a lovely turquoise patina. Somewhat smoothed, otherwise, about extremely fine.
